Intrepid Learning Solutions Hosts third Annual Client Summit, Exploration 2008
(Seattle, Washington – June 30, 2008) Intrepid Learning Solutions, a leading provider of learning and performance services, hosted its annual summit on June 10, 2008. The theme of this year’s event was Learning as a Strategic Partner in Lean Times.
Chief learning officers, learning leaders and business executives from more than 18 companies participated in the event, including representatives from Autodesk, Inc., The Boeing Company, Drugstore.com, Manpower, Microsoft Corporation, salesforce.com, and Zurich.
Exploration 2008 is Intrepid’s signature learning thought leadership event. Held annually, Exploration allows Intrepid clients and other industry thought leaders to interact in a unique forum where they can share best practices, network and informally benchmark with peers, and discuss emerging trends in workplace learning and performance.
Highlights of the event included panel sessions featuring chief learning officers sharing their perspectives on leading the learning function during lean times, and business executives who manage learning as a professional services business. In addition, the event featured client case studies focused on measuring the business impact of learning in a channel sales environment, and an innovative approach to educational marketing for independent financial advisors. Finally, Intrepid shared its best practices through "Innovation Stations" featuring current work in social learning, e-learning, collaboration platforms, and management and leadership solutions.
Participants were unanimous in their praise and enthusiasm for the event. "One of the best independent talent management discussion forums I've participated in years," said Steven Teal, Former VP and CLO, Honeywell International. "Well worth the time out of the office and the speakers were top notch," shared another participant.
