Jack Creighton
Chairman of the Board, Intrepid Learning Solutions
Strategic Director, Madrona Venture Group

Until recently, Jack Creighton was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UAL Corporation (United Airlines). Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Weyerhaeuser Company. He is also a director of Unocal Corporation.

Creighton is the immediate past national President of the Boy Scouts of America and is a member of the University of Puget Sound Board of Trustees and the University of Washington Press Development Board. He is Chair of the Washington State University Foundation and was co-chair of the 2020 Committee on Post-Secondary Education in Washington state. Creighton holds B.S. and J.D. degrees from Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami.

Steve Davis
Former President and CEO, Corbis Corporation

Former president and chief executive officer of Corbis, a global digital media company, managing rights and licensing images seen by millions of people daily in advertising, books, newspapers, magazines, television, and films. Mr. Davis had senior roles at Corbis from 1993 until 2007. Earlier, he practiced law with the firm of Preston Gates & Ellis in Seattle, specializing in intellectual property issues, and prior to that he held various positions in international refugee and human rights organizations.

Davis received his AB from Princeton University, his MA in Chinese studies from the University of Washington, and his JD from Columbia University School of Law, where he received the Faculty Prize in international law. He has also attended certificate programs at Beijing University and Stanford Business School. Mr. Davis is active in numerous community and industry concerns. He currently serves on the boards of PATH, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, The Seattle Foundation, Global Partners, and PlanetOut, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously chaired the Technology Alliance, NPower, United Way of King County and the International Practice Section of the Washington State Bar and has served on the boards of the United Way International, Alliance for Education, Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund, the Governor's Competiveness Council and other organizations.

Dennis Heck
Chief Executive Officer, TVW

Dennis Heck was a co-founder of Lguide, Intrepid’s predecessor, and the founder and CEO of TVW, the nation's preeminent statewide public affairs television network, which has developed the world's largest library of streaming media files. He was recently awarded an Emmy for writing and directing an educational video. Heck is a former legislator from Washington state, where he served as majority leader and wrote that state's historic Basic Education Act. He was chief of staff to former Washington governor Booth Gardner. He is the author of Challenges and Opportunities: The Transformation of Washington's Schools.

Eric Byunn
Principal, FTVentures

Eric Byunn joined FTVentures in 2002 and is currently a Principal with investment responsibilities in software. Prior to joining FTVentures, Byunn was Director of Online Services at myCFO, a start-up wealth management firm. He joined myCFO from America Online, where he held several roles including management of Netscape’s Personal Finance Channel. Prior to the acquisition of Netscape by AOL, Byunn led product management for the Netscape Navigator browser. He has also worked at Microsoft and at McKinsey & Company, where he primarily worked with telecommunications clients.

Byunn received an AB summa cum laude from Harvard University, where he focused on economics and computer science, and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Byunn serves on the boards of five FTVentures portfolio companies: Cloudmark, Coremetrics, GMI, Intrepid Learning Solutions, and ProfitLine.

Greg Gottesman
Managing Director, Madrona Venture Group

Greg Gottesman joined Madrona in 1997 and currently serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, including Asta Networks, Bocada, and WildTangent. He is also a board observer of Appliant.com, Dantz Development Corporation, Nimble Technology, Talisma, and Rendition Networks.

Previously, Gottesman served in a board or advisory capacity to Singingfish.com (prior to its acquisition by Thomson Consumer Electronics, Inc.), LiveBid.com (prior to its acquisition by Amazon.com), and AdRelevance (prior to its acquisition by Media Metrix). Before joining Madrona, he worked as an associate at Boston Consulting Group. Gottesman graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors and distinction from Stanford University, with honors and distinction from the Harvard Business School, and with honors from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Gottesman is a board member of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Michael Song
Partner, Rustic Canyon Partners

Michael Song helped form Rustic Canyon in 1999. Song offers a wealth of hands-on business development, technology and M&A experience. Previously, he was director of corporate investments with Times Mirror, overseeing its venture capital portfolio. Prior to his tenure at Times Mirror, Michael was a consultant with the Los Angeles office of the Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on online financial services, convergence issues, high technology and aerospace. Before joining the Boston Consulting Group, he was an investment banking associate in the emerging markets group at Lehman Brothers.

Song earned an M.B.A. with distinction from the Wharton School of Business and he received his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in international relations from Brown University. Song is Treasurer/Board member of the Korean-American Coalition, Treasurer/Board member of Upward Bound House, and is on the Board of the Santa Monica Symphony Association. He also serves on the Finance Advisory Committee for Phillips Exeter Academy and on the Advisory Committee for Diversity for Brown University. Vikesh Mahendroo
President and Chief Executive Officer

Vikesh Mahendroo provides strategic leadership for Intrepid, focusing on operations, finance, and client, board, and investor relations. He joined Intrepid in 2007 after a distinguished 23-year career with Mercer Human Resources Consulting. Mahendroo was one of the firm’s senior-most partners, serving as Executive Vice President of Global Accounts, chairperson of the Mercer Global Leadership Team, and a member of Mercer’s Global Operating Committee. He served as Mercer’s executive sponsor for a number of Fortune 500 clients.

Mahendroo joined Mercer in 1984 and worked as an executive compensation consultant and in several management roles. He served as president of the U.S. company from 1996 until fall 2000. Through his career at Mercer, Mahendroo developed extensive experience growing and running a world-class professional services organization, and a deep understanding of human resources and talent management issues. He is co-author of a recent Mercer published article, "Your First 100 Days as Chief Human Resources Officer."

Mahendroo has bachelors and masters degrees in economics from Delhi University and a MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of World at Work and SHRM, where he has been elected to the Special Expertise Panel on Global Issues. He is a director of ProV International, an IT services and solutions company based in Tampa, FL.

Mahendroo and his wife Kiran live in the Seattle area. They have two daughters, Shivani and Aditi who live in New York City.
